foodpanda, Pakistan’s largest online delivery network, in partnership with local restaurant partners Burger Lab and Greeno, recently hosted separate appreciation events for delivery riders. At the honour events, delivery riders were presented with official Appreciation Certificates.

Management of the partner restaurants also hosted a sit-down meal to recognize riders’ critical role in the local food ecosystem.

These events mark a shift toward deeper integration and mutual respect between the restaurants and gig economy workers. While delivery riders typically interact with restaurant staff through quick counter exchanges, this gathering provided a rare space to share stories, build community, and recognize couriers who navigate extreme weather, tight deadlines, and heavy traffic to keep local businesses thriving.

“Our delivery riders are the link connecting local businesses directly to customer doorsteps, and seeing our partners Burger Lab and Greeno recognise their hard work so warmly is deeply inspiring,” said Khawaja Shariq Mustafa, Commercial Director, foodpanda Pakistan. “True ecosystem growth relies on mutual respect and when restaurant partners embrace riders as an extension of their own team, it elevates the entire industry. We are immensely grateful to our restaurant partners for celebrating our riders’ contribution to keeping local businesses thriving.”

By creating stronger connections between restaurant kitchens and delivery riders, initiatives like this strengthen the foundation of Pakistan’s delivery landscape. foodpanda continues to collaborate with its nationwide vendor network to champion rider recognition, mutual respect and community building across the country.
