In response to the devastating floods that struck Punjab\u2019s
\nfertile lands, Syngenta Pakistan has launched a major CSR initiative to help affected farmers
\nrebuild their livelihoods across Multan and Sahiwal divisions.
\nCommitted to sustainability and rural prosperity, Syngenta Pakistan has pledged PKR 50
\nmillion worth of crop protection products and vegetable seeds for flood-affected farmers. In
\nthe first phase, products worth PKR 25 million are being distributed across the two divisions,
\nsupporting the restoration of nearly 12,000 acres of farmland.
\nThe launch ceremony, held at Model Agrimall, Sahiwal, was attended by Syed Ashiq Hussain
\nKirmani, Minister for Agriculture (Punjab); Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Secretary Agriculture; Dr. Asif Tufail,
\nCommissioner Sahiwal Division; and other senior government officials. Representing Syngenta
\nPakistan, Mr. Zeeshan Hasib Baig (Country General Manager), Syed Ali Murtaza (Head of
\nCorporate Affairs & Business Sustainability), and Banaras Habib (Head of Sales) distributed
\nseeds, crop protection products, and PPEs to farmers.
\n\u201cOur farmers are the backbone of Pakistan\u2019s economy, and it is our duty to support them in
\ntimes of adversity,\u201d said Mr. Zeeshan Hasib Baig, Country General Manager, Syngenta Pakistan.
